London Marathon 2014

‚Äč36,000 people took the streets of London yesterday to run the London Marathon which included Tusk’s team of 40 runners! We are so proud of the team and what they have achieved.

Friends of Tusk Dinner

This year's Friends of Tusk dinner at Claridge’s was a huge success and a fantastic evening.  Raising £110,000 for the Charity, the event would not have been possible without the generous support of Artemis Investment Management, Claridge’s Hotel and our 260 guests.

Bronze, Black & White Exhibition

On a bitingly cold November night, a good crowd of patrons and friends made their way to the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery to the Private Preview of the Bronze, Black & White Exhibition featuring bronze sculptures by acclaimed wildlife sculptor Rosamond Lloyd together with black and white photographs of African wildlife by David Lloyd.

Friends of Tusk Dinner, New York

On Thursday 7th November the Friends of Tusk USA converged at the Tribeca Rooftop to support Tusk’s vital efforts in Africa to protect threatened species, including elephant, rhino cheetah, mountain and lowland gorillas, and chimpanzees. Guests were told of a horrendous statistic: last year, it is estimated that 35,000 elephant were slaughtered for ivory trinkets.

The ING New York City Marathon

Following on the success of last year's fundraising efforts, Hurricane Sandy notwithstanding, Tusk has once again been allocated 10 spaces in the 2013 ING New York City Marathon to take place on November 3rd.

The Changing Face of the Rhino Lecture by Dr William Fowlds

An inspirational personal account of Dr William Fowlds’s fight to save the mutilated survivors of rhino poaching, and how this incident is reshaping attitudes towards a conservation crisis.

Join Dr. William Fowlds on 18th September 2013 as he hosts an inspirational lecture at the Royal Geographical Society, London, highlighting the plight of the rhino and his mission to protect these iconic creatures of South Africa and to raise funds for TUSK Trust and Born Free Foundation.

National Exhibition of Wildlife Art

Even the heatwave did not prevent a really good turnout at the NEWA Preview and Auction on Thursday 18 July at the Gordale Garden Centre in Burton, Wirral. Tusk was represented at the event by Mr and Mrs Peter Williams, long-standing supporters of the charity. The auction went well and people dug deep for Tusk, The Wildlife Trusts and Chester Zoo.

Kent & Curwen Royal Charity Polo Cup

Kent & Curwen, the quintessential English menswear brand was honoured for a second year, to be the title sponsor of The Kent & Curwen Royal Charity Polo Cup on Saturday July 13, 2013 within the grounds of the magnificent Lord and Lady Andrew Lloyd Webber’s private Berkshire Estate, Watership Down. Over 400 VIP guests were treated to a day of Royal polo, English hospitality and auctions.
